One number, 651-905-2737, serves reservations, accessibility requests inside 48 hours, the baggage team for a mishandled mobility device, and the SMS channel. No dedicated accessibility-only line, no TTY number and no special-assistance email are published. LINK-ROT WARNING (checked 2026-07-29): the Comment/Complaint Form link printed on Sun Country's own Special Services page, https://suncountrysupport.force.com/Case/s/, now returns HTTP 404 — Salesforce retired the force.com community domain. The same form is live at https://sy.my.site.com/Case/s/ (page title "Sun Country Support"), which is also where Sun Country's own published short link https://flysca.com/feedback redirects.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
"Powered carts and wheelchairs can be checked at the ticket counter or gate free of charge. Powered equipment should not be disassembled if it fits upright through the aircraft bin door and batteries should remain attached." If the bin door prevents upright loading, airport staff may ask for disassembly instructions.

Accepted. If the battery is inside an enclosed protective housing that is not easily removed and is integrated into the device's design, it stays with the device in the cargo hold; otherwise it must be removed and carried in the cabin. Lithium metal (non-rechargeable) batteries are "forbidden for transport".

Sun Country states there is no cap when the battery stays installed: "If within an enclosed, protective battery housing that is not easily removed and is integrated into the design of the device, there are no watt-hour (Wh) limitations and the battery may remain with the device in the cargo hold."

"If the battery is not adequately protected and it is a collapsible device with exposed batteries, the battery must be removed and carried as a carry-on. The battery cannot exceed 300 watt-hours (Wh)."

"One (1) spare battery, not exceeding 300 watt-hours (Wh), or two (2) spare batteries, not exceeding 100 watt-hours (Wh) each, may be carried on board the aircraft." Note the 100 Wh figure for two spares — lower than the 160 Wh most carriers publish.

Either one (1) spare of ≤300 Wh or two (2) spares of ≤100 Wh each, carried on board.

Not routinely — "batteries should remain attached" and powered equipment should not be disassembled if it fits upright through the aircraft bin door. Removal is required only where the lithium battery is not adequately protected on a collapsible device (then it travels as carry-on), or for a wet-cell battery where the device cannot be stowed upright (then a Sun Country representative places it in a battery box in the cargo area).

Accepted (dry cell). "Battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair/scooter in an enclosed, protective housing. When it is not possible to stow the device in an upright position, the battery cables will be disconnected and/or terminals protected to prevent short circuit and placed in an upright position."

CARGO-DOOR APERTURE, not a stated maximum chair size. "The maximum forward cargo door width on Sun Country's 737 aircraft is 48 inches and maximum door height is 35 inches. Maximum rear cargo door width on Sun Country's 737 is 48 inches and maximum door height is 33 inches, which may not accommodate all mobility devices." The smaller (rear) door, 48 x 33 in = 121.9 x 83.8 cm, is recorded here as the binding figure.

Sun Country says one manual wheelchair may be stowed onboard on a first-come basis, but publishes no dimensions for that stowage space.
Sun Country publishes no maximum wheelchair size. The only figures it gives are 737 cargo-door apertures (see policy.electric.max_dimensions and aircraft_hold_note), which it says "may not accommodate all mobility devices".
No weight limit published for a checked wheelchair; Sun Country only warns that "heavier powered models where normal ramp stairways cannot be used may incur delivery delays".
"Checking and returning personal wheelchairs at the gate can be arranged." Travellers may use Sun Country's own airport wheelchairs after checking their personal chair.

No advance-notice deadline published for wheelchair assistance. Sun Country asks that online Accessibility Requests be submitted more than 48 hours out ("If your flight departs within 48 hours, please call us at 651-905-2737"), and requires a minimum of one hour for check-in of any electrical mobility equipment. The 48-hour figure is a channel rule, not a carriage deadline.
"You can submit an Accessibility Request or contact Sun Country Reservations." Requestable services include wheelchair assistance, seating accommodation, escort assistance for a visually impaired passenger and storage of an assistive device.

Sun Country does not publish a number of mobility devices carried free per passenger. It only states there is cabin space for one (1) manual wheelchair, first come first served.
"If your mobility device is mishandled while in the custody of Sun Country Airlines, please contact the Sun Country baggage team at 651-905-2737, 7am to 8pm CST... you have the right to contact a Complaint Resolution Official (a 'CRO') and a right to file a claim." Airport staff are trained to provide CRO access in person or by telephone. No liability cap, full-value statement or loaner-device commitment is published.

On board
Sun Country does not publish whether an on-board aisle wheelchair is carried on its all-737 fleet.
Not published on Sun Country's site.
Sun Country lists wheelchair assistance and escort assistance as requestable services but does not publish a policy on transferring a passenger between a wheelchair and the aircraft seat.
"You can request wheelchair assistance, seating accommodation (e.g., if you need extra legroom due to a full leg brace), escort assistance, or stowage of an assistive device." No movable-armrest or bulkhead-row policy is published.

Fleet detail. All-Boeing 737 fleet. Forward cargo door 48 in wide x 35 in high (121.9 x 88.9 cm); rear cargo door 48 in wide x 33 in high (121.9 x 83.8 cm). Sun Country states these "may not accommodate all mobility devices".
Worth knowing
US DOT-regulated carrier; its DOT-required disability page is suncountry.com/paxbillofrights. Sun Country is one of the few carriers that publishes its actual cargo-door apertures — the binding constraint for a rigid power chair is the 33 in (83.8 cm) high rear door. Two unusual figures a human should re-check: (1) two spare lithium batteries are capped at 100 Wh each, not the more common 160 Wh; (2) Sun Country explicitly imposes NO watt-hour limit on a battery in an integrated, non-easily-removable housing. suncountry.com is a JavaScript site — pages had to be read through the reader proxy and several fetches returned an empty shell before rendering; /hazmat never rendered. Link-rot repair 2026-07-29: the Comment/Complaint Form URL suncountrysupport.force.com/Case/s/ is genuinely dead (HTTP 404 on both HEAD and GET) because Salesforce retired the *.force.com community domain; the form now lives at sy.my.site.com/Case/s/. Sun Country has not fixed the link on its own Special Services page, so a reader following that page directly will hit the 404 — reach the form via suncountry.com's other published link, flysca.com/feedback, which redirects correctly. No policy value depended on this URL; damage_liability is sourced from the Special Services page and the Bill of Rights page, both live. Also note https://www.suncountry.com/feedback returns HTTP 200 but renders a generic marketing shell, not a feedback form — do not cite it.
