Powered chairs are accepted only with dry, gel or lithium batteries — liquid/spillable batteries are refused outright. The battery type and watt-hour value are checked at airport check-in and the chair "will not be accepted to Flights due to safety reasons" if the type or Wh value fails the dangerous-goods conditions or is not marked on the battery. For lithium chairs the dangerous-goods page states you must contact the call centre before the flight.

Lithium-ion chairs are accepted, with the battery either fixed in the device or removable. The watt-hour rating must be identifiable on the battery, otherwise the chair is refused at check-in.

Where the battery can be detached from the chair: a maximum of one battery of up to 300 Wh, or two batteries of up to 160 Wh each, per passenger. Detached batteries are carried by the passenger in the cabin in a protective sheet with the terminals insulated.

"You may carry one spare battery not exceeding 300 Wh, or two spare batteries, each not exceeding 160 Wh." Spares travel in the passenger cabin.

Pegasus's own pages differ: the reduced-mobility page says flatly that the batteries "must be carried in the passenger cabin, not in the cargo hold", while the dangerous-goods page lets a battery that cannot be detached stay in the chair in the hold with the isolation switch off. Where the battery is removable it must be removed by the user following the manufacturer's instructions and carried in the cabin in a protective sheet; the chair then travels as checked baggage "without any restrictions".

Gel, AGM, non-spillable lead-acid, NiMH and similar: the battery must be firmly fixed to the chair and the terminals protected against short circuit with rubber caps, the maker's terminal covers or insulating tape. Chair and battery travel in the hold in a protective case. Providing the insulation is the passenger's responsibility — an unprotected battery is not loaded.

"We do not carry liquid batteries on our Flights." The Turkish dangerous-goods page is blunter: wheelchairs or similar mobility devices with batteries that can leak ("akma yapabilecek tipteki sıvı akülü") are not accepted on Pegasus flights.

Terminals must be insulated against short circuit — rubber caps, the manufacturer's terminal covers or insulating tape over the poles — and the battery firmly secured. Supplying the insulation is expressly the passenger's responsibility; a battery that is not properly protected will not be loaded. Non-detachable lithium batteries additionally need the isolation switch off, key with the passenger.

No form is required, but the battery type and its watt-hour value are checked at airport check-in and a chair whose battery does not bear or meet that information is refused carriage on safety grounds.

"Your non-battery, foldable wheelchair will be transported free of charge in the aircraft hold and will not be counted toward your baggage allowance." It must be registered at the airport check-in desk and is taken from you at boarding. Pegasus does not say what happens with a rigid, non-folding manual chair.

General Rules §9.2.9: "portable wheelchairs or crutches used by Passengers will be taken delivery during boarding for carriage in the aircraft's cargo compartment" — the chair goes in the hold, not the cabin.

Wheelchair assistance must be requested when the ticket is bought and in any case at least 48 hours before departure, on 0850 250 67 02 (Türkiye) / +90 850 250 67 77 (abroad). Requested later, "the service can only be provided subject to availability". Passengers must start check-in at least 2 hours before departure. Lithium-battery chairs: Pegasus says you must contact the call centre before the flight.

Requests are "accommodated based on aircraft capacity". State exactly what you need (long distances, aircraft stairs, getting to the seat), ask whether the airport has a special service desk, and be at the airport 2 hours before departure.

"Wheelchairs transported in the aircraft hold are carried free of charge and are not counted toward the passenger's baggage allowance"; General Rules §10.4.5 repeats that a registered wheelchair is carried in the hold "free of extra charge". Pegasus's special-equipment fee table lists no wheelchair charge.

General Rules §13.3.2 limits liability for checked baggage to 1,519 SDR per passenger unless a special declaration of interest was made at check-in and a supplementary sum paid; the EU liability notice on the same page quotes 1,288 SDR. Damage must be reported to the baggage office before leaving the arrivals hall, and in writing within 7 days of arrival.

General Rules §10.4.6: "Our cabin crew are not authorized to physically intervene and/or provide personal assistance to passengers with reduced mobility (such as lifting or carrying passengers, assisting with toilet use, feeding...)". A passenger who could not evacuate unaided must bring their own companion or safety assistant, otherwise boarding may be refused.

§6.9.1: if the automatically assigned seat does not suit, Pegasus makes reasonable efforts — within flight-safety rules and seat availability — to seat the passenger and their companion side by side in aisle seats, excluding emergency-exit rows, at no extra charge. There is no automatic disability seat assignment online: requests must go through the call centre or airport check-in staff.
