Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Battery-powered mobility aids are accepted, but MNA's dangerous goods table marks "the approval of the operator is required" YES for every class of battery-powered wheelchair (non-spillable/NiMH/dry, spillable, and lithium-ion), and the pilot-in-command must be informed of the location. Approval must therefore be arranged in advance with the Customer Service Centre.

Lithium-ion mobility aids are permitted as checked baggage with operator approval and notification of the pilot-in-command. MNA's published table reproduces only the IATA DGR 2.3A summary rows and states no terminal-insulation, immobilisation or circuit-isolation requirement for mobility aids.
No battery spec sheet, MSDS or form is mentioned. MNA does say some medical conditions require a form before travel is cleared, but that is a fitness-to-fly form, not a battery document.

"Please let us know if you are a wheelchair user, or need us to provide a wheelchair in the airport, and we will also arrange pre-boarding." Requests go through the Customer Service Centre; there is no online assistance form. Some medical conditions require a form to be completed before MNA clears the passenger for travel.

Worth knowing
MNA's assistance content is a few paragraphs under Plan a Trip > Special Requests; the substantive mobility-aid rules are the IATA DGR 2.3A table on its Dangerous Goods page. That table is unusually strict in one respect and unusually silent in another: operator approval is required for EVERY battery-powered wheelchair class (and the pilot-in-command must be told where it is), yet MNA publishes no watt-hour limit for wheelchair batteries anywhere. Two further things a traveller should know: MNA may require a passenger with a disability to travel with an attendant if they cannot assist in their own evacuation or understand safety instructions (Conditions of Carriage 7.2.2), and there is no published statement that mobility aids are carried free of charge. The domestic network is flown mainly by turboprops out of small airports, so hold size should be confirmed directly.
