- Relay / textThe "Contact our customer service" block on lacompagnie.com (English, French and Italian) advertises a WhatsApp channel and prints the number as "+1 (555) 737-1425". +1 555 is the North-American fictional/reserved exchange, so this is almost certainly a placeholder left in the template. Recorded here only so a traveller is not misled by it; use the published voice lines instead.WhatsApp — DO NOT RELY ON THE PRINTED NUMBER
- Relay / textCustomer Service Plan §6: "We have specially trained Complaint Resolution Officials, or CROs, in every airport to meet the needs and concerns of our passengers with disabilities... To locate these officials, ask any of our representatives at the airport." Two La Compagnie pages disagree on the Italian line's opening time: the homepage and Special Services say 09:00-18:00 Milan time, the accessibility declaration says 08:00-18:00. No dedicated disability desk number is published — the general Customer Service lines are the only channel. The airline's US Customer Service Plan is published at /en/about/plan-for-lengthy-delay (the footer link labelled "Customer service plan"; /en/legal/customer-service-plan 404s) and commits to Complaint Resolution Officials at every airport, but publishes no CRO contact details. Written complaints go to La Compagnie Customer Care, Newark International Airport – Terminal B, PO Box 2, Newark NJ 07114, or customercare@lacompagnie.com.

3 of the unanswered fields below share one explanation: no watt-hour figure of any kind appears on La Compagnie's site — the global ICAO/IATA fallback applies. The rest carry their own.
Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
La Compagnie publishes no separate policy for battery-powered wheelchairs. Its wheelchair statement covers "a wheelchair" generically, and neither the Conditions of Carriage nor the Special Services page mentions mobility-aid batteries. There is nowhere else to look: lacompagnie.com has no baggage page, no dangerous-goods page and no prohibited-items page (/plan/baggage, /plan/dangerous-goods and /plan/prohibited-items all 404, and the published sitemap lists only 20 pages). Contact Customer Service before booking.

Not published on La Compagnie's site. The only battery text anywhere on lacompagnie.com is CoC Art. 13.4: e-cigarettes, e-cigars and personal vaporisers containing batteries must be carried in hand baggage only and may not be recharged on board. That is a personal-electronics rule, not a mobility-aid rule.

Not published — La Compagnie says nothing about spare mobility-aid batteries.
Not published — La Compagnie does not say whether a wheelchair battery must be removed and carried in the cabin.
Not published on La Compagnie's site; no gel / AGM / sealed-lead-acid rule appears anywhere.
Not published on La Compagnie's site — no mobility-aid battery rules of any kind appear on the assistance, accessibility, Customer Service Plan or Conditions of Carriage pages, and the airline publishes no baggage or dangerous-goods page at all.
Not published. Neither La Compagnie's Special Services page nor Conditions of Carriage Art. 13.4 (which covers only e-cigarettes and personal electronics) sets any terminal-insulation, disconnection or immobilisation requirement for a mobility aid.
Not published. La Compagnie asks for no battery spec sheet, MSDS or manufacturer label anywhere on lacompagnie.com; its reduced-mobility clause requires no mobility-aid battery paperwork at all.
The same single figure applies: "the maximum dimensions accepted in the aircraft hold are 1.10 m in height, 1.10 m in length and 1.20 m in width". La Compagnie publishes no separate limit for powered chairs.

No weight limit is published for powered wheelchairs.
Not published — La Compagnie does not say where a powered wheelchair is returned on arrival.
No battery policy of any kind is published. A powered-chair user must call Customer Service (+33 9 88 29 01 35 / 1-800-218-8187) before booking.
Manual wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are accepted: the Conditions of Carriage class a wheelchair as a free assistive device and the Special Services page states the maximum wheelchair size accepted in the aircraft hold.

La Compagnie does not say whether a folding manual wheelchair may be stowed in the cabin; only carriage in the aircraft hold is described.

No in-cabin wheelchair stowage dimensions are published.
"If you are travelling with a wheelchair, please note that the maximum dimensions accepted in the aircraft hold are 1.10 m in height, 1.10 m in length and 1.20 m in width." Stated for wheelchairs generally, without distinguishing manual from powered. The French page gives the same three numbers but calls the 1.20 m figure "profondeur" (depth) rather than width, so which axis the 1.20 m applies to is ambiguous between La Compagnie's own language versions.

No weight limit for wheelchairs is published. The 32 kg figures on the site apply to a standard checked bag and to ski equipment, not to mobility aids.
Not published — La Compagnie does not say where a checked wheelchair is returned (aircraft door or baggage hall).
Conditions of Carriage Art. 6.3: La Compagnie may assign accompanying personnel where this is imperative for safety, or if the passenger cannot ensure their own evacuation or understand the safety instructions. Art. 6.4: the carrier reserves the right not to accept passengers who must travel on a stretcher. The Special Services page adds that a respiratory assistance device may be carried in the cabin "subject to certain criteria", without publishing the criteria.
Booking & cost
No deadline in hours is published, but requesting at booking is effectively mandatory: CoC Art. 4 says the Carrier "may decide, at any boarding and/or transfer point, to refuse transport to the Passenger or their Baggage if the Passenger requests special assistance at check-in or boarding that was not requested at the time of the travel Reservation." Art. 6 asks PRMs to notify at booking; where they do not, La Compagnie is bound only by an obligation of means. The published hour deadlines — 51 h for special meals, 48 h for pets and service dogs — are not assistance deadlines.

"You can request personal assistance at the airport or onboard our aircraft. We thank you in advance for informing us of your request at the time of booking in the 'My bookings' section or by calling our team at 1-800-218-8187 before your departure." This is not merely advisory: CoC Art. 4 lets the carrier refuse the passenger or their baggage at any boarding or transfer point if special assistance is first requested at check-in or boarding rather than at reservation.

Conditions of Carriage Art. 6.4: "The transport of assistive devices, such as a wheelchair or a cane, is free, so they will not be included in the Baggage Allowance." Medical oxygen, by contrast, is invoiced in addition to the ticket price.

Conditions of Carriage Art. 17.5: "DreamJet's liability for Damage caused to Baggage, including any Damage resulting from a delay, is limited to 1519 SDR", unless the passenger completes a special declaration of higher value and pays the applicable fee; damage to checked baggage must be notified in writing within 7 days. Nothing mobility-aid-specific is published, and the US Customer Service Plan does not restate the ACAA full-value rule for mobility aids — it commits only to "full compliance with all government rules and regulations".

On board
Not published — La Compagnie does not say whether an on-board aisle chair is carried on its 76-seat, 2x2 A321neo cabin. Its Customer Service Plan §9 undertakes to give "Aircraft configuration, lavatory availability and seating configuration" on the website, through telephone reservations or from an airport representative, so ask before booking.

Not published. Customer Service Plan §9 promises to disclose "Aircraft configuration, lavatory availability and seating configuration" on request, but no lavatory-accessibility information is actually on the site; the only lavatory commitment published is "operable lavatories" during a lengthy tarmac delay.

Not described specifically. The Special Services page says only "You can request personal assistance at the airport or onboard our aircraft", and the Customer Service Plan §6 that "We assist customers with special needs with full respect for their dignity and comfort, and in full compliance with all government rules and regulations" — neither says whether crew will help a passenger transfer between wheelchair and seat.

Conditions of Carriage Art. 6.2: where the passenger's disability requires a bulkhead seat (for example when accompanied in the cabin by a service dog) and the passenger actually requests one, "this seat will be made available to him, if it has not already been assigned to another Passenger with reduced mobility".

Fleet detail. La Compagnie publishes one wheelchair hold limit for the whole operation (1.10 m H x 1.10 m L x 1.20 m W); no per-aircraft cargo-door table is published.
Worth knowing
DEEPENING PASS (2026-07-29, second sweep): the missing US disability page was FOUND. La Compagnie's Customer Service Plan is published at /en/about/plan-for-lengthy-delay (the footer's "Customer service plan" link; /en/legal/customer-service-plan really does 404), and §6 commits to "specially trained Complaint Resolution Officials, or CROs, in every airport", to publishing assistance information including for lengthy tarmac delays, and gives the DOT Aviation Consumer Protection Division 1-800-778-4838. The French site was read in full and adds one substantive point and one discrepancy (below). The battery blank is now confirmed rather than merely unfound: lacompagnie.com's own sitemap (/legal/plan-du-site) lists only 20 pages, and the airline publishes no baggage page, no dangerous-goods page and no prohibited-items page anywhere — so there is no page on which a watt-hour figure could live. La Compagnie (operated by DreamJet) is an all-business-class transatlantic carrier flying Paris CDG / Nice / Milan to New York EWR. Cautions: (1) CoC Art. 4 lets the carrier refuse the passenger OR THEIR BAGGAGE at any boarding or transfer point if special assistance is requested at check-in rather than at booking — the single sharpest rule on this record; (2) the carrier may assign accompanying personnel and reserves the right to refuse stretcher passengers (Art. 6); (3) medical oxygen is chargeable and requires an accompanying person; (4) the French page describes the 1.20 m wheelchair figure as "profondeur" (depth) where the English page calls it width — same numbers, different axis; (5) the WhatsApp number printed in the site footer, "+1 (555) 737-1425", uses the North-American fictional 555 exchange and looks like an unreplaced template placeholder — a human should verify or have it removed. La Compagnie's own RGAA declaration states its website is NOT compliant (34.9% conformity, audited Jan-Feb 2025 by Ideance).
