Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Accepted, but only as checked baggage and only with prior arrangement: §3.9.1 requires a battery-powered wheelchair to be checked in and carried in the cargo hold, and §3.9.3 requires the passenger to apply to Juneyao in advance so it can arrange carriage. Folding and electric wheelchairs are also item 5 on the Restricted Items list, carried only with prior approval.

§3.9.2 names 锂电池驱动轮椅 (lithium-battery-powered wheelchairs) as one of the three classes of electric wheelchair Juneyao carries, and §3.9.3 requires the passenger to apply in advance for its carriage. No watt-hour figure, removal rule or spare allowance is published for a wheelchair battery — the 100/160 Wh figures elsewhere on the site are the general portable-electronics rule.

Not published. §3.9 电动轮椅运输 of the Oct 2023 Baggage Transportation Regulations recognises lithium-battery wheelchairs but sets no watt-hour cap for them. The only watt-hour figures Juneyao publishes (100 Wh free, 100–160 Wh with approval, >160 Wh banned) are the CAAC portable-electronics rule and are not written for mobility aids.
Not published. Juneyao nowhere says whether or when a wheelchair battery must come out of the chair, nor what it may be rated at if it does. §3.9.1 only requires the wheelchair itself to be checked into the hold.
Not published for mobility aids. Juneyao publishes no spare-battery watt-hour figure for a wheelchair; the 100–160 Wh restricted-item rule is written for portable electronics.
Not published for mobility aids. Neither the Oct 2023 Baggage Transportation Regulations nor the Restricted Items list gives a spare-battery count for a wheelchair battery.
Not published. §3.9.1 requires the electric wheelchair itself to be checked in and carried in the cargo hold ('必须办理托运手续,并且放置在货舱内运输'), but Juneyao never says whether the battery must be removed from the chair and taken into the cabin.
§3.9.2 names 非溢漏型电池驱动轮椅 (non-spillable/gel/AGM battery wheelchairs) as one of the three classes of electric wheelchair Juneyao carries; §3.9.1 requires the chair to be checked and carried in the hold and §3.9.3 requires an advance transport application. No terminal-insulation or battery-securing detail is published.

Juneyao's Baggage Transportation Regulations §3.9.2 divide electric wheelchairs it carries into three battery classes — 非溢漏型电池驱动轮椅 (non-spillable), 溢漏型电池驱动轮椅 (spillable/wet) and 锂电池驱动轮椅 (lithium) — so a wet-battery chair is a recognised class, but §3.9.3 requires the passenger to apply to Juneyao in advance 'so the company can complete the transport arrangements'. No packaging, upright-carriage or leak-proof-container rule is published for wet batteries.

Not published for wheelchair batteries. §3.9 sets no terminal-insulation, disconnection or immobilisation requirement; Juneyao only asks the passenger to apply in advance so it can arrange carriage.
Not published for batteries. §3.9.3 requires an advance application for carriage of the electric wheelchair but names no battery spec sheet, MSDS, UN 38.3 report or label. For the onboard-wheelchair service Juneyao asks for an ID card or passport plus a medical certificate.

No maximum powered-wheelchair dimensions are published, and no hold-door figures are given for the A320-family or B787-9 fleet.
Not published. Neither §3.9 nor the Restricted Items list sets a weight cap for a powered wheelchair; the 50 kg maximum per checked piece on the domestic baggage page is a general baggage rule.
Not published. §3.9.1 says the electric wheelchair must be checked in and carried in the cargo hold; Juneyao does not say whether it is returned at the aircraft door or on the baggage belt.
"如您携带电动轮椅,需在乘机当天提前2小时到达机场与我们的工作人员联系办理托运手续" — if you bring an electric wheelchair you must reach the airport 2 hours before departure on the day of travel to arrange the check-in with staff. The Oct 2023 Baggage Transportation Regulations §3.9 are the only place Juneyao writes rules for powered chairs: they must be checked and ride in the hold, they are classified by battery type (non-spillable / spillable / lithium), and carriage must be applied for in advance. No watt-hour, weight, dimension, removal or terminal rule follows.
Manual wheelchairs
"Folding or Electric Wheelchairs for Passenger Use During Travel" is item 5 on Juneyao's Restricted Items list, and that list opens: "Such items will only be accepted for carriage if they meet Juneyao Airlines' conditions of carriage and prior approval has been obtained." Carriage itself is free and outside the baggage allowance.

Not published — Juneyao's carry-on baggage page says nothing about wheelchairs or mobility aids, and the wheelchair page does not mention cabin stowage.
Not published — Juneyao gives no in-cabin stowage allowance or dimensions for a folding wheelchair.
No maximum wheelchair size is published. The 100 × 60 × 40 cm figure on the checked-baggage page is Juneyao's ordinary suitcase limit, not a wheelchair limit.
Not published for wheelchairs. Juneyao's domestic limit of 50 kg maximum per checked bag is written for ordinary baggage, and mobility aids are carried outside the free allowance.
Not published. Juneyao says only that a passenger with an electric wheelchair must reach the airport 2 hours early to hand it over; nothing is published about where or when the chair is returned.
Booking & cost
"Requests for in-flight or boarding wheelchair service must be submitted at least 48 hours before flight departure." No separate deadline is published for a ground wheelchair. If you are bringing an electric wheelchair you must also reach the airport 2 hours before departure on the day of travel to hand it over for checking.

Onboard and boarding wheelchair service is offered only on turnaround and non-stop flights actually operated by Juneyao Airlines; ground wheelchair service on flights actually operated by Juneyao. If the flight is adjusted or the ticket changed or refunded the request is cancelled automatically and must be made again. Juneyao asks care passengers to use a staffed check-in desk rather than self-service.

"Assistive devices for handicapped passengers (including but not limited to wheelchairs, canes, and prosthetics) are not included in the free baggage allowance and can be checked in free." Every passenger-care service except the stretcher service and the oxygen service is provided free of charge. The Chinese Baggage Transportation Regulations §2.3.2 say the same: 残疾旅客辅助设备(包括但不仅限于轮椅、手杖、假肢)不计入免费行李额.

No number is published. Juneyao states that 'assistive devices for handicapped passengers (including but not limited to wheelchairs, canes and prosthetics) are not included in the free baggage allowance and can be checked in free' (Oct 2023 Baggage Transportation Regulations §2.3.2, English checked-baggage page), but never caps how many.
'Baggage Damage or Loss (Total or Partial): Compensation shall not exceed CNY 100 per kilogram' on domestic flights and 'the compensation limit is USD 20 per kilogram' internationally, with actual value paid if lower. A declared value is possible above CNY 100/kg (domestic) or USD 20/kg (international), capped at CNY 8,000 / USD 2,000 per passenger, surcharge = (declared value − CNY 100/kg) × weight × 5‰. Not mobility-aid specific — no full-value or ACAA-style rule is published for wheelchairs, so a heavy power chair is capped by weight.

On board
The "onboard wheelchair" service — for passengers who are fit to fly but unable to walk in the cabin — must be requested at least 48 hours ahead and requires a medical certificate. It is offered on turnaround and non-stop flights actually operated by Juneyao Airlines.

Not published — Juneyao says nothing about lavatory accessibility on any of its aircraft types.
Not published as a service. Juneyao defines an onboard-wheelchair passenger as one 'with medical conditions and disabilities who are physically suitable for flight, but are unable to walk in the cabin', and the 2021 Passenger Notice's care chapter says only that passengers needing 关爱服务 should call 95520 before booking. Nothing states that staff will lift or transfer a passenger between the aisle chair and the seat.
Not published for disabled passengers. Juneyao publishes a movable-armrest/bulkhead rule for nobody; the only seating commitments in the 2021 Passenger Notice are priority boarding and a roomier seat for pregnant passengers, and cabin crew assess and may reseat anyone in an exit-row seat.
Worth knowing
Juneyao publishes NO wheelchair-battery rules whatsoever — not a watt-hour figure, not a spare count, not a removal or terminal requirement. The 160 Wh ceiling and the 100–160 Wh restricted-item rule on its baggage pages are general baggage rules and must not be read as a mobility-aid allowance; ring 95520 before travelling with a powered chair. Both folding and electric wheelchairs sit on Juneyao's Restricted Items list, which requires prior approval — this sits awkwardly beside the checked-baggage page's promise that assistive devices are simply checked free. Per-aircraft caps from the Sept 2023 关爱旅客运输说明: unaccompanied WCHC wheelchair passengers 2 on the A320 family and 4 on the B787-9; disabled passengers with no companion who would need help to evacuate 4 on the A320CEO/A320NEO/A321CEO and 6 on the A321NEO ACF and B787. Juneyao is a Star Alliance Connecting Partner, not a full member, so the alliance field is left null. Deepening pass (2026-07-29): the Chinese-language PDF regulations were mined via the reader proxy's render mode. §3.9 电动轮椅运输 of the Oct 2023 行李运输规定 is the only published electric-wheelchair rule and it still sets no watt-hour figure — Juneyao genuinely does not publish one, in either language. Caveat for a human: the 须知&条款 index at /customer-server/transport-factor lists later editions (行李运输规定2025年8月版, 关爱旅客运输说明2025年8月版) but the site opens them through a JavaScript click handler with no href, and the PDF URLs are not exposed in the HTML, the SSR payload, the JS bundles or a Nuxt _payload.json, so only the Oct 2023 edition could be read. Damage liability is now recorded: CNY 100/kg domestic, USD 20/kg international, declared value capped at CNY 8,000 / USD 2,000 — a weight-based cap that would badly under-compensate a heavy power chair.
