JTA publishes no accessibility contact of its own. Its 路線・サービス menu sends passengers who need assistance to JAL's Priority Guest pages, and its booking, timetable, airport and contact links all point at jal.co.jp, so the JAL Priority Guest Center is the working accessibility channel for JTA flights.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Powered chairs are accepted, but the JAL Group flowchart ends in refusal in two cases: a wheelchair with a spillable (non-leakproof, refillable) wet battery is not accepted at all, and a chair whose battery cannot be removed is only accepted if it can be made safe against inadvertent activation, or its leads disconnected, or short circuits prevented — if none of those is possible, 'お預かりできません' (we cannot accept it).

Accepted. If the lithium-ion battery stays fitted to the chair, the chair is accepted as checked baggage; if the battery is removed it may only be carried in the cabin, and only up to 300 Wh.

No watt-hour cap is published for a lithium-ion battery that stays fitted to the chair — the flowchart says only that the chair is then accepted as checked baggage. This is not a statement that there is no limit.

'車いすから取り外した場合 → 300Wh以下に限り機内持ち込みのみ可能です' — a battery removed from the chair may be carried only in the cabin and only if it is 300 Wh or less.

Spare lithium-ion batteries are cabin-carry only: up to 160 Wh, two are allowed; from 160 Wh to 300 Wh, one is allowed. A battery removed from the chair itself does not count towards the spare allowance.

Lithium-ion spares: 2 pieces up to 160 Wh each, or 1 piece between 160 Wh and 300 Wh — cabin only. Ni-MH / Ni-Cd spares: 2 per person, checked baggage only. Sealed non-spillable wet batteries: 1 per person, checked baggage only.

Not required. A lithium-ion battery may stay fitted, in which case the chair travels in the hold; if it is removed it must be carried in the cabin.

JAL asks you to check the loading procedure for your chair through the manufacturer or the wheelchair/powered-chair associations it links to, and warns that the battery is also checked visually at the airport on the day — so you should know in advance where the battery information is displayed on your chair.

Same JAL Group allowable-cargo-size guide as for manual chairs — Boeing 737-800 (73H), the type JTA's fleet page lists: 81 cm high, 114 cm wide, 127 cm deep. Heavier powered chairs and sports chairs used right up to the aircraft are loaded in a different position, so the maximum size that can be carried is smaller; discuss at booking.

If you want to use a heavy powered chair or a sports chair all the way to the aircraft, JAL says the loading position differs and tighter size limits apply — raise it when booking.
Manual wheelchairs
Manual wheelchairs are carried free as checked items. You are asked to state whether the chair folds, its dimensions (folded, if it folds) and its weight.

JAL Group's per-aircraft '貨物の許容サイズ(目安)' (guide to allowable cargo size) for the Boeing 737-800 (73H), the type JTA's fleet page lists: height 81 cm, width 114 cm, depth 127 cm. On aircraft where hold height is limited the chair may be loaded lying on its side.

Not published. The pages describe assistance up to the aircraft and transfer help, but do not say where your own chair is returned on arrival.
Assistance is graded by how far you can walk (to the gate, to the aircraft door, or to the seat with transfer help). An upper-body support belt and loan child seats are available for passengers who cannot hold a seated position, arranged at booking.
Booking & cost
No deadline in hours is published. The JAL Group pages that JTA links to ask you to declare the chair and its battery when you book, and to confirm at that point how the chair will be loaded.

JTA's own site has no assistance page: its route-and-service menu links 'お手伝いを希望されるお客さまへ' straight to JAL's Priority Guest support, so requests are made to the JAL Priority Guest Center by phone, free fax, the online request form, or by registering your needs on your JAL Mileage Bank profile.

On board
The JAL Group Priority Guest equipment page lists an on-board wheelchair for moving about the cabin (seat 300 mm wide, 340 mm deep, 800 mm from the floor); tell the cabin crew when you want to use it. The page does not break availability down by aircraft type or by JAL Group carrier, and JTA operates Boeing 737-800s, so confirm with the Priority Guest Center.

Not confirmed for JTA. The JAL Group equipment page describes a lavatory with a wide door a wheelchair can enter, internal grab handles and an aisle curtain, but it does not say which aircraft have one, and JTA operates only Boeing 737-800s.

Fleet detail. JTA's fleet page lists the Boeing 737-800 (738/73H). For that type the JAL Group guide gives an allowable cargo size of 81 cm high x 114 cm wide x 127 cm deep, with cargo-door apertures of 89 x 122 cm (large door) and 84 x 122 cm (small door). Where hold height is limited the chair may be loaded on its side.
Worth knowing
JTA publishes no accessibility or mobility-aid policy of its own. Its own site is the authority for two things only: its 路線・サービス menu links 'お手伝いを希望されるお客さまへ' (customers who need assistance) directly to JAL's Priority Guest support at jal.co.jp/jalpri, and its conditions-of-carriage page states that passengers on JAL (JL)-numbered JTA-operated flights are covered by the joint 'JAL / J-Air / JAC / HAC / Japan Transocean Air common domestic conditions of carriage'. Every policy figure in this record therefore comes from the JAL Group Priority Guest pages that JTA designates, and is labelled as such. Two cautions for a human reviewer: (a) the wheelchair size figures are JAL's per-aircraft allowable cargo-size guide for the 737-800, not a JTA-stated maximum chair size; (b) the on-board wheelchair and accessible-lavatory entries on the JAL equipment page carry no aircraft list, so their availability on JTA's 737-800s is not proven — the Priority Guest Center should be asked. JTA's English (en.jta-okinawa.com) and Traditional Chinese sites are corporate mirrors with no assistance content; jta-okinawa.com/en/ returns 404.
