Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
"Battery-powered or electric wheelchairs are only accepted as checked baggage free of charge provided the passenger travelling on the same flight and it has been prepared for transport", and only "when used by passengers with restricted mobility". Notify flydubai 48 h ahead with the Wheelchair and Mobility Aid form; the 100 kg / 124 x 114 x 80 cm limits apply. ITINERARY EXCLUSION: with an onward partner-airline connection "you must provide a proof that the onward carrier will accept the wheelchair. If you are unable to provide proof of acceptance, you will not be allowed to carry" it.

Explicitly addressed: "Wheelchairs powered by lithium or lithium-ion battery restrictions: the battery must not exceed 300 Wh, or for a device that is fitted with two batteries required for operation, each battery must not exceed 160 Wh."

"The battery must not exceed 300 Wh, or for a device that is fitted with two batteries required for operation, each battery must not exceed 160 Wh." flydubai does not require removal, and states "installed batteries must be securely attached to the equipment", so this is the cap for a battery that stays in the chair.

No separate figure. flydubai does not require the battery to be removed into the cabin; it says only that if the batteries "are disconnected or removed from the wheelchair, they must be protected in a wheelchair battery box" that is leak tight, upright and protected against activation and short circuit.

Not required. flydubai's packaging rules cover both cases and state "installed batteries must be securely attached to the equipment"; removal is an option, not an obligation.

Not published — flydubai's battery rules name only lithium/lithium-ion types explicitly; gel, AGM, sealed lead-acid and dry-cell wheelchair batteries are not mentioned by name.

Not classified. flydubai does not use the terms spillable/non-spillable; it requires only that a disconnected or removed battery be "protected in a wheelchair battery box (normally provided with wheelchair)" that is "leak tight and resistant to battery fluid" and placed upright. It publishes no explicit acceptance or refusal of wet/spillable batteries.

"Battery must be protected against activation and short circuit and must be placed upright in a battery box" and "electrical connection must be prevented so the wheelchair is not activated or switched on during the flight". Batteries must not be damaged or leaking. flydubai adds: "flydubai is not responsible for packaging batteries."

A completed Wheelchair and Mobility Aid form must be downloaded, filled in and e-mailed through the Contact us form with the 'Special assistance' subject, 48 h before departure. Passengers needing WCHC (assistance to the cabin seat) must also carry a medical certificate in English signed by a certified medical practitioner confirming fitness to fly.

Connections on a partner airline: you must notify the other carrier about the battery-powered chair and provide proof that it will accept it — "if you are unable to provide proof of acceptance, you will not be allowed to carry the wheelchair". You must also request assistance from the partner airline for the transit or stopover.
Manual wheelchairs
"We'll carry your wheelchair free of charge in addition to your checked baggage." At most airports you can use your own chair as far as the boarding gate. Chairs over 100 kg need prior approval, and "any modified or non-standard models may require a review before acceptance". flydubai asks you to get in touch if your wheelchair is part of sporting equipment.

"Can I take my own wheelchair in the cabin? No, you'll need to check in your wheelchair, and it'll be carried in the hold." Canes, crutches and walkers/rollators/knee walkers may be taken into the cabin, stowed in the overhead locker for taxi, take-off and landing.

Not applicable — flydubai does not allow a wheelchair in the cabin at all, so it publishes no in-cabin stowage dimensions. Only canes, crutches and walkers go in the cabin, and if they exceed the hand-baggage size/weight they are carried in the hold as checked baggage.

Mobility aids that may travel in the cabin: canes (including quad and forearm canes), crutches (axillary and Lofstrand forearm) and walkers (including rollators and knee walkers), provided they meet safety and security rules and have no sharp edges. Cabin crew stow them in the overhead locker for taxi, take-off and landing.
Booking & cost
48 h for a powered chair: "If you're travelling with a battery-powered wheelchair or mobility aid, please notify us 48 hours before your flight departure", and the Wheelchair and Mobility Aid form must be e-mailed in that window. For airport wheelchair assistance alone, flydubai asks for "at least 24 hours prior to departure and before checking in online".

"You need to request wheelchair assistance at least 24 hours prior to departure and before checking in online to make sure it's available and arranged for you when you arrive at the airport." flydubai offers three assistance codes: WCHR (to the ramp), WCHS (up the stairs, to the aircraft door) and WCHC (to the cabin seat).

Not published — flydubai states no number of mobility devices carried free per passenger.
No mobility-aid-specific rule and no figure. "Our liability to you for damage or delay to your baggage is governed and limited by Conditions of Carriage as well as applicable international conventions." flydubai accepts no liability for minor damage such as staining, scratches or dents from normal wear and tear. Report damage at the arrival airport immediately, or within 7 days via the Contact us form; a successful claim gets the bag repaired or replaced.

"All our aircraft are equipped with a foldable wheelchair which you can use to move between your seat and washroom. Our cabin crew will provide you the wheelchair on request; however, you need to be able to get in and out of the wheelchair and use washroom facilities on your own or with the help of your travel companion."

Not published — flydubai says only that the on-board foldable wheelchair is used to reach the washroom.
WCHC assistance is provided "up to the passenger's seat on board the aircraft" for passengers who may be completely immobile. But once on board you must be able to get in and out of the on-board chair and use the washroom yourself or with your companion, and passengers unable to assist in their own evacuation must travel with a companion in an adjoining seat. WCHC also requires an English-language medical certificate.

Fleet detail. flydubai publishes one fleet-wide acceptance limit rather than per-aircraft cargo-door dimensions: maximum 100 kg and 124 cm (L) x 114 cm (W) x 80 cm (H) in both upright and folded positions. Heavier chairs need prior approval and modified or non-standard models may be reviewed before acceptance.
Worth knowing
flydubai's accessibility content is grouped under 'Accessibility and assistance services' and branded 'people of determination'; the wheelchair page is mirrored in Arabic (/ar/) and Russian (/ru/). Unusually for a low-cost carrier it publishes a hard, explicit maximum wheelchair size and weight (124 x 114 x 80 cm, 100 kg) that applies fleet-wide — a real constraint for large power chairs, and the single most important number in this record. Other traps: (1) your chair is NOT returned at the aircraft door — it goes to the baggage hall at the destination, and cannot be collected at a transit or stopover airport; (2) on a connection with a partner airline you must produce proof that the other carrier will accept your battery-powered chair, or flydubai will refuse to carry it; (3) a battery-powered chair needs the Wheelchair and Mobility Aid form e-mailed 48 h ahead through the Contact us form; (4) WCHC (assistance to the seat) requires an English-language medical certificate AND a travelling companion; (5) all passengers with reduced mobility must be able to sit in a normal seat with the seatback upright. Gaps: flydubai never classifies batteries as spillable or non-spillable — it only requires a leak-tight wheelchair battery box for disconnected/removed batteries — and it publishes no accessibility-specific phone line, e-mail or TTY/relay channel. Direct fetches of flydubai.com time out or return a JS shell; all pages were read through the reader proxy. The Wheelchair and Mobility Aid PDF itself could not be downloaded (server returned nothing); its existence and use are cited from the wheelchair page that links it.
