Who to contact

Transcribed from the airline’s own pages, exactly as it labels them.

flyadeal publishes no accessibility e-mail address and no TTY, text-relay or WhatsApp channel. The Contact Us page also offers a direct-message link on X. The two international numbers differ between the Contact Us page (00966126346100) and the Conditions of Carriage (+966 (0)12 653 9515); both are recorded because both are published.

3 of the unanswered fields below share one explanation: flyadeal states no watt-hour rating anywhere on its site. ICAO/IATA defaults apply — see the global rules. The rest carry their own.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries

The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

Powered chairs accepted
Conditional

Accepted only after a phone call and airline approval: "If you require additional support, such as… travelling with an electric wheelchair… you must call our Customer Engagement Centre on 92000 0212 or +966 (0)12 653 9515… before booking your flight and at least forty-eight (48) hours before your planned departure. Our Customer Engagement Team will review your request and confirm if the services requested are available on your requested flight(s). If we are unable to provide the services… you will be offered alternative times and / or dates of travel" (9.2.2).

Lithium-ion batteries
Not published

Not published for mobility aids. The only battery rules flyadeal prints are the ban on devices with spillable batteries (8.1.1) and the general requirement that "Spare or loose batteries, including lithium metal or lithium ion cells or batteries, for portable electronic devices must be carried in Carry On Baggage only and must not be packed in Hold Baggage" (8.19) — neither addresses a wheelchair battery.

Watt-hour cap — battery stays in the chair
Not published
Watt-hour cap — battery removed into the cabin
Not published
Watt-hour cap — spare battery
Not published
Spare batteries permittedmaximum number under any published configuration
Not published

No number is published for wheelchair spare batteries. Article 8.19 only says spare or loose batteries for portable electronic devices must travel in carry-on baggage and be individually protected against short circuit — a general portable-electronics rule, not a mobility-aid allowance.

Battery must be removed
Not published

Not published. flyadeal never says whether a wheelchair battery must be removed and carried in the cabin; that is settled case by case on the 48-hour approval call.

Non-spillable batteriesgel, AGM, sealed lead-acid, dry cell
Not published

Not published. flyadeal says nothing about gel, AGM, sealed lead-acid or dry-cell wheelchair batteries; acceptance is decided case by case when the Customer Engagement Centre reviews the 48-hour request.

Wet / spillable batteries
No

Article 8.1.1 lists "Devices with spillable batteries" among items that "must not be carried on our aircraft in any circumstances", and separately bans "Corrosives (acids, alkalis, mercury and wet cell batteries)" from all baggage. A wet-cell powered wheelchair therefore cannot be carried.

Conditions of Carriage — Article 9 (Customers with Medical Conditions and Others Requiring Special Assistance, incl. 9.2 Customers with Reduced Mobility), Article 8 (Baggage, incl. 8.1.1 forbidden items, 8.7 overweight, 8.8 over-sized, 8.19 Batteries), Article 14 (Liability) (opens in a new tab) · read 2026-07-29

Terminal protection & immobilisation
Not published

No wheelchair-specific terminal or immobilisation requirement is published. The general rule for portable electronics is that spare batteries "must be individually protected to avoid short circuit" (8.19).

Paperwork the airline wants
Not published

No battery specification sheet, MSDS or manufacturer label is demanded. Where a medical certificate is required under Article 9 it must be signed by a registered doctor and dated within seven days of travel.

Size limit for a powered chair
Not published

No powered-wheelchair dimensions are published. The general over-sized checked-baggage cap is 65 x 85 x 140 cm (8.8), which flyadeal does not state applies to a wheelchair.

Weight limit for a powered chair
Not published

No powered-wheelchair weight limit is published. The general baggage rule — "For safety reasons, we are unable to accept items of Baggage over thirty-two (32) kg in weight" (8.7) — is not stated to apply to mobility aids, but a heavy power chair should be raised on the 48-hour approval call.

Returned at the aircraft door
No

The only return point flyadeal publishes for a passenger's own wheelchair is the baggage carousel (9.2.1 item 5); it makes no exception for a powered chair and describes no gate or aircraft-door return.

The whole electric-wheelchair route is a case-by-case approval by the Customer Engagement Centre, which may come back with a different flight, date or time. flyadeal now flies to the EU (Bergamo, Prague, Sarajevo), where Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 gives stronger rights than the Conditions of Carriage do, but the airline's own pages make no reference to it.

Manual wheelchairs

Manual chairs accepted
Yes

"If you are travelling with your own manual folding wheelchair, this should be checked in as hold baggage. No additional fees will be charged, and you can collect it from the baggage carousel on arrival." The assistance itself must still be pre-booked, and Article 9.1 requires prior approval of the booking for any passenger with reduced mobility.

Conditions of Carriage — Article 9 (Customers with Medical Conditions and Others Requiring Special Assistance, incl. 9.2 Customers with Reduced Mobility), Article 8 (Baggage, incl. 8.1.1 forbidden items, 8.7 overweight, 8.8 over-sized, 8.19 Batteries), Article 14 (Liability) (opens in a new tab) · read 2026-07-29  Help Centre — I need a wheelchair while travelling (opens in a new tab) · read 2026-07-29

Folding chair may travel in the cabin
No

flyadeal routes a passenger's own folding chair to the hold and back to the carousel — "The Customer's own wheelchair will be returned at the baggage carousel with other Checked baggage" (9.2.1 item 5) — and offers no in-cabin stowage for a personal wheelchair. It does carry its own foldable cabin wheelchair on every aircraft for use between seat and washroom.

In-cabin stowage limit
Not published

Not applicable and not published: a personal wheelchair is carried in the hold, not the cabin.

Size limit for a checked manual chair
Not published

No wheelchair dimensions are published. The only figure on the site is the general over-sized checked-baggage cap of 65 x 85 x 140 cm (8.8), which flyadeal does not state applies to a wheelchair.

Weight limit for a manual chair
Not published

No wheelchair weight limit is published. The general baggage rule is that flyadeal is "unable to accept items of Baggage over thirty-two (32) kg in weight" (8.7), but it is not stated to apply to mobility aids.

Returned at the aircraft door
No

Explicitly not offered: "The Customer's own wheelchair will be returned at the baggage carousel with other Checked baggage" (9.2.1 item 5). On arrival the passenger is given a flyadeal wheelchair and an escort to the baggage hall instead; a medi-lift vehicle is provided where steps are used.

Conditions of Carriage — Article 9 (Customers with Medical Conditions and Others Requiring Special Assistance, incl. 9.2 Customers with Reduced Mobility), Article 8 (Baggage, incl. 8.1.1 forbidden items, 8.7 overweight, 8.8 over-sized, 8.19 Batteries), Article 14 (Liability) (opens in a new tab) · read 2026-07-29  Help Centre — I need a wheelchair while travelling (opens in a new tab) · read 2026-07-29

flyadeal's wheelchair service is only for passengers who can walk from the aircraft door to their seat unaided: "Please note this service is only suitable if you are able to walk from your seat to the aircraft door unaided." Anyone who cannot must call the Customer Engagement Centre and may need a Carer.

How to request assistance
Add the Wheelchair Service when booking on the website or through the Call Center; for an electric wheelchair, one-to-one care or medical equipment you must phone the Customer Engagement Centre before booking and at least 48 h ahead

"Customers who are unable to walk or who are able to walk short distances from the aircraft door to their seat, must pre-book wheelchair assistance in the airport by adding this service when booking their flight on our Website or Call center" (9.2.1). Article 9.1 requires prior approval before the booking can be confirmed for anyone with reduced mobility, and warns that failing to declare it "may result in you being denied travel with no credit or refund due to you".

Mobility devices carried free
Not published

Not published. flyadeal states the free carriage of "a Customer's own manual folding wheelchair" in the singular but never gives a number of devices.

If they damage your chair
Baggage damage or loss limited to 1,131 SDRs; no special mobility-aid valuation

"Our liability for all Baggage damage or loss shall be limited to 1,131 SDRs" (14.3.3). flyadeal also excludes liability for "damage or loss to your Baggage caused by normal wear and tear" (14.3.2). No enhanced or full-value cover for mobility aids is published. Note 1,131 SDR is the pre-2019 Montreal Convention figure; the current treaty limit is higher.

Accessible lavatory
Not published

Not published. flyadeal says the cabin wheelchair can be used to move between seat and washroom but says nothing about the lavatory itself on its all-narrowbody Airbus A320 family fleet.

Crew help you transfer
No

flyadeal requires the passenger to bring their own: use of the cabin wheelchair requires an able-bodied escort aged 16+ seated alongside, who "will be assisting the reduced mobility" passenger (9.2.1 items 6-7). Customers needing one-to-one care onboard must arrange it through the Customer Engagement Centre 48 h ahead, and Article 9 requires some customers to travel with a Carer.

Seating & movable armrests
Customers with Special Assistance Requirements may not occupy an emergency exit row; a required escort must sit next to the passenger

"If you select an Emergency Exit Row, you agree that you are not a Customer with Special Assistance Requirements… If our crew have reason to believe you are unable to assist them in the event of an emergency you will be relocated to other seats in the aircraft and no refund or credit will be given." An able-body escort for a cabin-wheelchair user must be seated next to the passenger. No bulkhead or movable-armrest policy is published.

Fleet detail. No hold-door or hold-compartment dimensions are published for flyadeal's Airbus A320-family fleet. The only size and weight figures on the site are the general checked-baggage rules: nothing over 32 kg (8.7) and nothing larger than 65 x 85 x 140 cm (8.8), neither of which flyadeal states applies to a wheelchair.

Worth knowing

flyadeal's Conditions of Carriage Article 9 is detailed on service but silent on batteries: there is not a single watt-hour figure anywhere on flyadeal.com or help.flyadeal.com, so a power-chair user has no published battery rule to rely on and must get it in writing on the 48-hour approval call. Do not trust third-party summaries that attribute a 300 Wh / 160 Wh policy to flyadeal — searching turned up several, all traceable to other airlines' pages, and none of it appears on flyadeal's own site. Three things that will matter to a wheelchair user: (1) the chair comes back at the baggage carousel, never at the aircraft door; (2) the on-board cabin wheelchair exists on every aircraft but may only be used if the passenger brings an able-bodied escort aged 16+ to sit beside them and do the assisting; (3) "We are unable to provide additional assistance within the airport so Customers with hearing and visual impairments must travel with a companion" (9.8) — a blanket companion requirement. Wet-cell/spillable-battery devices are banned from all baggage (8.1.1). The published baggage liability figure, 1,131 SDR, is the superseded Montreal Convention limit and should be re-checked. flyadeal does not serve the USA, so there is no DOT Complaints Resolution Official page; it does serve the EU, where Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 applies, but the airline's pages never mention it.
