There is no DAT LT contact channel of any kind. dat.dk publishes no Lithuanian-language site, no Lithuanian phone number and no Lithuanian e-mail address; the only Lithuanian entry anywhere on the site is the postal head-office address 'Lithuania DAT LT UAB, Oro uosto st. 4, Karmelava, Kaunas dist. LT-54460' on the corporate page. All assistance requests go through the Danish, Norwegian, Italian or German customer centres above. No online assistance-request form is published — requests are taken by phone or e-mail after the booking is completed. The MEDIF medical form is a download on the Special needs page.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Accepted only as checked baggage and only after prior contact with DAT: 'Questi dispositivi possono essere accettati a bordo solo come bagaglio registrato', and only devices whose batteries are IATA-compliant gel/dry (non-spillable) type. DAT Customer Service must be contacted at least 5 business days ahead for a battery-powered wheelchair, and any 100–160 Wh lithium battery needs written DAT approval presented at check-in and security.

DAT's Luggage page does publish lithium limits for mobility aids and requires prior DAT approval for any 100–160 Wh battery plus contact at least 5 business days before departure. But the Italian assistance page admits only gel/dry non-spillable batteries, and Conditions of Carriage art. 8.2.2 says electric wheelchairs are accepted only with 'a dry cell battery'. Confirm with DAT before travelling — the site contradicts itself.

'If your mobility aid uses lithium batteries, the following limits apply: Single battery: Maximum 300 Wh. Two batteries: Maximum 160 Wh each.' DAT publishes this one blanket figure and never says whether the battery stays installed in the chair or must be removed, so the same cap is recorded in the installed and removed fields.

Same single published figure — 'Single battery: Maximum 300 Wh. Two batteries: Maximum 160 Wh each.' DAT draws no distinction between a battery that stays in the chair and one taken into the cabin, so this is not an independently published removed-battery cap.

No mobility-aid spare limit is published. DAT's general battery table allows loose lithium batteries in hand luggage only — under 100 Wh freely, 100–160 Wh only with prior DAT approval, over 160 Wh forbidden, and loose lithium is 'Strictly Forbidden' in checked baggage — but it does not say whether a wheelchair spare falls under that table or under the 300 Wh mobility-aid figure.
Not published for mobility aids. DAT's 'maximum of two lithium batteries between 100 and 160 Wh' is its general hand-luggage limit for medium batteries, not a wheelchair spare-battery allowance, so it is not imported here.
The battery stays with the chair: 'disconnesse dagli apparati e con i circuiti opportunamente isolati e fissati al dispositivo di deambulazione' — disconnected from the equipment, circuits insulated, and secured to the mobility aid. Any loose or spare lithium battery must nevertheless travel in hand luggage, never in the hold.

The battery must be disconnected from the device with 'i circuiti opportunamente isolati' (circuits properly insulated) and fixed to the chair. For loose batteries: 'Protect Terminals: Loose batteries must be protected against short-circuiting. Keep them in their original retail packaging, tape over the terminals, or place each battery in a separate plastic bag.'

For a 100–160 Wh lithium battery: 'you must receive prior approval from DAT. This permission must be presented at check-in and security.' E-mail kundeservice@dat.dk at least 5 business days before departure with clear photos of the battery and its labels, the battery type (lithium-ion / lithium-polymer) and the exact Wh rating.

Hoverboards, segboards, balance-boards and e-bikes are banned outright, and lithium batteries over 160 Wh are listed as 'Forbidden' in DAT's general battery table — the 300 Wh mobility-aid figure is the only stated exception. Damaged, defective or recalled lithium batteries and electronics are refused in both cabin and hold.
Manual wheelchairs
'You can bring your own folding wheelchair for free. Please note that at some airports, this must be handed in with your baggage at check-in.' Italian page: the chair is registered and loaded as hold baggage free of charge. A walker can in most cases be taken to the gate and is then placed in the hold.

Not guaranteed. Italian page: 'A causa della ristrettezza degli spazi o di limitazioni delle infrastrutture aeroportuali, non potremo garantire sempre il trasporto della carrozzina in cabina. Questa verrà registrata e imbarcata come bagaglio da stiva' — because of limited space or airport infrastructure DAT cannot always carry the chair in the cabin, in which case it goes in the hold. The Danish/English pages promise no cabin stowage at all.

Not published for wheelchairs. DAT states only that a walker can be brought 'all the way to the gate, after which it will be placed in the cargo hold. The walker is handed back with the luggage upon arrival' — i.e. at the baggage belt, not the aircraft door. Nothing is published about where a wheelchair is returned.

DAT classes 'Wheelchair, mobility scooter, and walker' as special baggage, and warns that 'All special baggage is sent on a standby basis. This means that regular checked baggage has first priority in the hold. Therefore, in rare cases, there may not be enough space for special baggage.'
Booking & cost
Strictest published deadline is for a powered chair: 'Please contact DAT Customer Service at least 5 business days before if you are travelling with a battery-powered wheelchair' (≥120 h). Also published: all special requests 'no later than 48 hours before departure' (Conditions of Carriage art. 8.2); free wheelchair assistance must be registered 'at least 24 hours before departure'; passengers with special requests must check in at least 2 h ahead.

'If you are going to travel with DAT and have the need for wheelchair assistance ... complete your reservation online and afterwards contact DAT. As long as there is capacity related to our operational limitations we will confirm your request' (art. 8.2.1); if it is not confirmed the booking can be cancelled and refunded in full. A 100–160 Wh lithium battery must additionally be approved in advance by e-mail to kundeservice@dat.dk. No online assistance form exists.

'The airline company's responsibility for damage or loss of baggage ... will follow the national and international conventions and rules, limiting us to a maximum of 1000 SDR per passenger.' The Luggage page adds 30% depreciation for the first year and 10% per year after, DKK 500 without a receipt, damage reports within 7 days, and that for special baggage 'you are responsible for damage to fragile equipment sent as checked baggage'. Free airport PRM assistance to and from the aircraft is provided, but 'il personale DAT non è autorizzato a fornire assistenza per la somministrazione di medicinali e pasti, supporto alla deambulazione e assistenza nelle toilette'. Crew 'può aiutarti ad aprire le confezioni di cibo e accompagnarti alla porta della toilette' — they may open food packaging and escort you to the lavatory door, but not help with feeding, medication or using the toilet. A passenger needing that must bring a companion aged 16+.

Not published — DAT gives no movable-armrest, bulkhead or accessible-seating policy. It operates 'solely a single class of service: standard Economy cabin' (Conditions of Carriage art. 3.1); the only related published rule is that a passenger who cannot understand the safety briefing, fasten a belt, don a lifejacket or oxygen mask, or reach an emergency exit unaided must travel with a companion, requested through customer service 24 h before departure.

Fleet detail. No hold-door or hold-compartment dimensions are published. DAT's fleet page lists ATR 42, ATR 72 and Airbus A320/A321, including the Lithuanian-registered LY-DAT (ATR 42) and LY-SEP (ATR 72), with no per-type mobility-aid limits. The only capacity warning published is that special baggage — which expressly includes wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers — 'is sent on a standby basis', ordinary checked baggage having first priority in the hold.
Worth knowing
ATTRIBUTION — read this first. UAB DAT LT publishes nothing of its own: there is no datlt.lt, no dot.lt passenger site, no Lithuanian-language pages, no DAT LT phone number or e-mail. IATA's own member record for DAT (LT) (legal name UAB DAT LT, ICAO DNU, R6*) gives its website as dat.dk, and dat.dk is DAT's single group site: its corporate page lists exactly two 'Headoffices' — 'Denmark DAT A/S, Vamdrup' and 'Lithuania DAT LT UAB, Oro uosto st. 4, Karmelava, Kaunas dist.' — and its fleet page presents one combined fleet including the Lithuanian-registered LY-DAT and LY-SEP. Everything in this record therefore comes from DAT-brand pages on dat.dk. BUT dat.dk never says which AOC operates a given flight, and the only binding document it publishes, the conditions of carriage, is headed 'General Conditions of Carriage DAT A/S' and defines the airline company as 'DAT (Danish Air Transport A/S)' — it does not name UAB DAT LT. Status is 'partial' for that reason, not because the content is thin. ACMI: DAT offers 'ACMI and wet lease contracts ... on our entire fleet', so a DAT LT aircraft may equally be flying for a contracting airline (DAT names Norwegian Air Shuttle, Finnair, Air France and British Airways as ACMI partners) — in that case the contracting airline's accessibility policy applies, not this one. THREE CONTRADICTIONS a traveller must resolve with DAT directly: (1) battery chemistry — the Luggage page publishes lithium limits for mobility aids (300 Wh single / 2 x 160 Wh) while the Italian assistance page admits only IATA gel/dry non-spillable batteries and Conditions of Carriage art. 8.2.2 says 'a dry cell battery'; (2) fees — the Special needs page says a folding wheelchair travels free, the Luggage page lists wheelchairs among special baggage you must register and pay for; (3) notice — 5 business days (powered chair), 48 h (Conditions of Carriage art. 8.2) and 24 h (wheelchair assistance) are all published. Also: wheelchairs travel on a standby basis behind ordinary checked baggage, powered chairs go only in the hold, DAT publishes no on-board aisle chair and no maximum chair dimensions, crew will not lift or help in the lavatory, and the published baggage liability cap of 1,000 SDR is below the current Montreal Convention limit — a human should check whether that page is simply out of date.
