BBN Airlines
Publishes nothing about carrying a passenger’s own wheelchair. You have to ask them.
BBN Airlines publishes no mobility-aid policy. Its website works and we read it, but it says nothing about carrying a passenger’s own manual or powered wheelchair — no battery rules, no size limits, no notice period. That silence is the finding, and it is why almost every field below is blank. Silence is not permission. Ask them directly, get the answer in writing, and read the international baseline so you know what should apply.
Wet-lease / ACMI operator. BBN Airlines usually flies aircraft and crew on behalf of other airlines. If your ticket says another airline, that airline’s wheelchair policy governs your booking — but the aircraft’s physical hold limits are this operator’s.
Who to contact
Transcribed from the airline’s own pages, exactly as it labels them.
- PhoneTürkiye — BBN Airlines head office (general switchboard, not a disability desk)
- EmailGeneral enquiries (not a special-assistance address)
- EmailCommercial department — passenger (ACMI/charter sales)
BBN publishes no accessibility desk, no special-assistance email and no assistance-request form, and explicitly asks passengers NOT to use these channels: "BBN Airlines operates certain flights for other carriers while providing only aircraft, cockpit, and cabin crew services. We do not handle ground services, ticket sales, or booking management for these flights... please get in touch with the airline from which you purchased your ticket directly."
Every unanswered field below has the same explanation: BBN Airlines flies passenger ACMI/wet-lease and charter and publishes no mobility-aid policy; the airline that sold the ticket handles assistance.
Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

Worth knowing
NOT cargo-only, contrary to the usual classification — BBN Airlines Türkiye is primarily a PASSENGER wet-lease operator. Its own Services page: "Our passenger services include five A321s and two A320s dedicated to ACMI operations, complemented by three A321-P2F aircraft specifically designed for cargo transport", and the About text says it "commenced operations with four A321 passenger aircraft" in early 2023, operating in 59 countries and 176 destinations. Recorded as operator_type "acmi_charter" with passenger_service true. It publishes no accessibility, special-assistance, mobility-aid or lithium-battery content anywhere. The Legal index lists a "Prohibited Items" page and a "Passenger Rights by Turkish DGCA" link; the DGCA link is a PDF of SHGM circular HUD-2023/1 (in Turkish) covering denied boarding, delay, cancellation and downgrade complaints only — it says nothing about disabled or reduced-mobility passengers, so nothing from it is recorded. The linked /passenger-rights-by-turkish-dgca/ page itself returns 404. Because BBN operates other carriers' flights under ACMI, the contracting airline's conditions of carriage and special-assistance policy apply, and BBN's contact page says so in as many words. Note the IATA roster name is "BBN Airlines"; the group also has a separate Indonesian carrier (BBN Airlines Indonesia) which is not covered here.
