Albastar sells mainly through tour operators and travel agencies: the site repeatedly tells passengers to route assistance and wheelchair requests through their agency/tour operator, not to the airline. No dedicated accessibility phone line or email address is published; the only published channel is the general Call Center number and its web form.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries
The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.
Battery wheelchairs are carried but under material restrictions: the request must reach the agency/tour operator at least 3 business days before departure and 'Albastar aplica restricciones en el transporte de este tipo de sillas de ruedas' under dangerous-goods law. CoC art. 8.6 makes acceptance of a non-spillable-battery chair (WCBD) 'subject to Albastar's approval'.

Not published for wheelchairs. CoC art. 8.6 covers only non-spillable (WCBD) and spillable (WCBW) battery chairs; lithium-powered mobility aids (WCLB) are not mentioned anywhere on the site. Albastar does separately ban 'pequenos vehiculos impulsados por baterias de litio' (airwheel, solowheel, hoverboard, mini-segway), stating these are NOT mobility aids.

Not published for mobility aids. The only watt-hour figures Albastar publishes (100 Wh, and 100-160 Wh with approval) are in CoC art. 8.5 for portable electronic and portable medical devices, not for wheelchairs.

Not published for mobility aids. CoC art. 8.5 allows a maximum of two spare 100-160 Wh lithium-ion batteries in carry-on with Albastar's approval, but only for portable medical electronic devices; spare lithium batteries are never allowed in checked baggage.

CoC art. 8.6 accepts a non-spillable-battery chair as checked baggage 'as long as the battery terminals are protected against short-circuiting (e.g., they must be inside a storage container) and the battery is properly secured to the chair' - the battery stays on the chair; no removal into the cabin is described.

CoC art. 8.6 (WCBD): chairs powered by batteries meeting the special provision A67 / Packing Instruction 872 vibration and differential-pressure tests are 'subject to Albastar's approval'. Carriage as checked baggage is authorised provided the terminals are protected against short circuit (battery inside a storage container) and the battery is properly secured to the chair.

'Albastar no acepta sillas de ruedas con baterias humedas o derramables.' CoC art. 8.6 repeats that wheelchairs/mobility aids with batteries that could leak (WCBW) are 'not authorized by Albastar'; spillable batteries also appear on the prohibited-items list as corrosives.

No battery spec sheet, MSDS or form is required in anything Albastar publishes. The passenger must, however, declare the chair type, dimensions, weight and whether it is manual or battery-powered to their agency or tour operator.

Small lithium-battery vehicles (airwheel, solowheel, hoverboard, mini-segway, balance wheel) are refused in both checked and carry-on baggage and are explicitly NOT treated as mobility aids.
Manual wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are carried. 'When traveling with your wheelchair, please specify to your agency or tour operator the type of chair, its dimensions, weight, and whether it is manual, or battery powered.' Up to two chairs per passenger free, subject to space on board.

No maximum weight is published for wheelchairs. The baggage page's 32 kg checked-bag ceiling expressly does not apply to them: baggage over 32 kg 'no seran aceptados, a excepcion de sillas de ruedas o articulos en bodega autorizados anteriormente por el transportista'.

Partly published, and only in one direction: 'El pasajero podra conservar su propia silla de ruedas hasta su acceso al avion, desde donde sera recogida y estibada en la bodega' - you may keep your own chair up to the aircraft. Albastar does not say whether it is returned at the aircraft door on arrival, and warns the airport handler may instead require the chair to be checked in at the counter and replaced with a handler's chair inside the terminal.

Depending on the airport, the ground handler may require the passenger's own chair to be checked in at the counter and replaced by a handler's chair for the time spent in the terminal.
Booking & cost
Assistance must be requested through your travel agency 'con un minimo de 48 horas antes de la salida de su vuelo' (48 h). For a battery-powered wheelchair the request must be made to the agency/tour operator 'al menos 3 dias laborables antes de la salida del vuelo' - at least 3 BUSINESS days, so more than 72 h across a weekend. Check-in desk at least 2 h before departure.

Albastar routes special-assistance and wheelchair requests through the agency or tour operator that sold the ticket: 'la solicitud de asistencia... debe realizarse a su agencia de viajes'. At the airport, present yourself at check-in at least two hours before departure and Albastar then coordinates with the airport handler.

Worth knowing
Albastar is a Palma de Mallorca-based charter/pilgrimage operator that sells almost entirely through tour operators; every assistance instruction on the site points the passenger at their travel agency rather than at the airline, and no dedicated accessibility phone line or email exists. The strictest deadline is 3 BUSINESS days for a battery-powered chair (recorded as 72 h; longer across a weekend). The English page is a translation of the Spanish original - the English Conditions of Carriage art. 8.6 heading and body contradict each other on 'sealed'/'non-sealed', but the IATA codes it cites make the intent unambiguous: WCBD (non-spillable) accepted with approval, WCBW (spillable/wet) refused. Nothing at all is published about lithium-powered wheelchairs, on-board aisle chairs or accessible lavatories.
