Worth knowing

Air Dolomiti is wholly owned by Deutsche Lufthansa AG, but every figure here comes from airdolomiti.eu's own pages, not from Lufthansa's. Two things a power-chair user must plan around: from 1 October 2025 a wheelchair with a permanently installed / non-removable lithium battery is capped at a maximum of 2 batteries of 160 Wh each (requests confirmed, or journeys begun, before that date are honoured as booked), and there is no on-board wheelchair on any Air Dolomiti aircraft. Spillable-battery aids are refused outright. Every battery-powered aid needs transport approval obtained at least 48 h ahead via a dedicated online form. Stretchers and medical oxygen cylinders are not carried; POCs need a medical form countersigned by the company doctor 48 h ahead. The published baggage liability figure (1,288 SDR) is the pre-2024 Montreal Convention limit — a human should check whether the page has simply not been updated to 1,519 SDR.
