The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

A foldable wheelchair may be brought aboard only if it "meet[s] carry-on baggage standards" — which Air Cambodia publishes as one piece, 7 kg, no larger than 115 cm total (56 × 36 × 23 cm), fitting under the seat or in the cabin locker. Air Cambodia (formerly Cambodia Angkor Air; still trades as K6) publishes a decent WCHR/WCHS/WCHC service description with 24 h notice and per-flight quotas tied to the number of main emergency exits, but almost nothing about the equipment itself. Its whole powered-wheelchair rule is: "The battery-powered wheelchair & mobility aids might be transported if they meet the conditions published by the International Air Transport Association (IATA)" — no watt-hour cap, no approval route, no packing or terminal rules, no MSDS requirement. It also never says whether a mobility aid is carried free. The published baggage-damage limit of USD 20/kg (non-Convention carriage) would value a 100 kg power chair at USD 2,000, far below replacement cost. Two editorial defects on the Special Needs page a human should flag to the airline: it instructs passengers to "notify Vietnam Airlines staff" (leftover text from Vietnam Airlines, K6's former part-owner), and the escort conditions are duplicated inconsistently between the child and disability sections. Air Cambodia lists San Francisco among destinations; if any of that is its own metal, a DOT Complaints Resolution Official page would be required and none is published.
