Who to contact

Transcribed from the airline’s own pages, exactly as it labels them.

Aeroméxico's public pages are a JavaScript single-page app whose accessibility panels only load on click; the same text is served in readable form from Aeroméxico's own Drupal CMS at aeromexico.com/cms/. The phone numbers above are the ones Aeroméxico prints for passengers requiring assistance (European storefront) plus the Mexican call centre; no dedicated disability e-mail or TTY line is published.

Powered wheelchairs & batteries

The part that goes wrong. Battery chemistry and watt-hours decide whether your chair flies, and the rules differ depending on whether the battery can be removed.

Powered chairs accepted
Yes

Powered chairs with sealed (non-spillable) or UN 38.3 lithium batteries are accepted; chairs with non-sealed (spillable) batteries are refused. Aeroméxico asks for the chair's technical data sheet including battery specifications when the service is booked, and warns the aid may be refused if it does not meet the safety requirements.

Worth knowing

aeromexico.com is a JavaScript app behind a WAF: direct fetches return a 551-byte 'Site Maintenance' page and the rendered special-services page shows only collapsed accordion headings ('Servicio de silla de ruedas', 'Personas con discapacidad'). The full text was read from Aeroméxico's own Drupal CMS (aeromexico.com/cms/…), which serves the same components in Spanish and English; the live European page aeromexico.com/en-gb/travel-information/special-services-europa renders the matching heading 'Wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices'. IMPORTANT CAVEAT FOR A HUMAN: this mobility-device text sits in Aeroméxico's EUROPEAN storefront components (it cites EC Regulation 1107/2006, ENAC and European departure airports and lists only European phone numbers). The dimension, weight and battery figures are fleet-based (E90/B737/B787) and read as global, but Aeroméxico's Mexico/US pages could not be rendered to confirm they say the same thing. Notable: Aeroméxico refuses spillable-battery chairs outright, and states there is no watt-hour limit when a lithium battery stays installed.
